Hello

I've just got off the tourbus and am heading home in a taxi so i thought i would write a short blog about stuff...

So we just got back from a small 3 date festival jaunt around Germany and France

The first date was at San Tropez which had a really nice beach, it was such a shame we couldn't stick around for more than an hour before and after the show :( We kinda were disheartened when we showed up cos it kinda looked like we were playing at a very expensive holiday camp, but little did we know that the crowd were going to be crazy! We all had a great time!

After the show we jumped straight on the bus and slept all the way to the Melt festival in Germany! We got there just in time for the rain to start pissing down on us, which was a bad omen, but as we turned into the festival we saw some billboards with us on it from a shoot we did for Converse shoes, It's odd seeing yourself plastered on a wall in a foreign country
The festival site is some huge museum for industrial cranes and massive bits of machinery.. It looked great at night with lasers bouncing off everything, just a shame about the weather. Luckily for us we played inside a warehouse which was dry as a bone. The crowd were really up for it and were really into moshing. All of a sudden loads of people sat down during one of the tunes and then jumped up in the air when it dropped... I've never seen that happen at a gig before so I was smiling to myself as we were playing. Unfortunately for us we had another insanely long drive back to the south of france (where we were the night before) and we had to go as soon as we finished our set :(

We woke up the next day half way to a massive festival in France called Vieilles Charrues, It's like the Glastonbury of France and we were headlining the dance stage which was pretty cool! I watched a bit of Sebastian (ed banger recs), Crystal Castles, and Missill before we went on around 2am.. I was pretty wasted by that point on red wine so i cant remember much, but it was a pretty good show im sure :)

So that leads onto what we've got going on next..

We have a couple of days off then we're out to America to tour with Bloc Party, whilst doing our own Headline shows and some DJ sets at random clubs accross the country. We're doing a tv performance on the Jimmy Kimmel show which should be funny as Will Ferrell and the dude from that film "Dewey Cox" are going to be on as well as *cough* Mel B from the spice girls :)
Then we do a festival called Lollapalooza which is held in Chicago! :P it looks pretty cool as RATM are playing!

Then we fly to Japan for Summer Sonic which is one of my favourite festivals, you play in both Tokyo and Osaka which is cool! I always end up buying loads of random shit in japan, like toys and keyrings and stuff that i have no room for.

Then we come back for READING/LEEDS FESTIVAL which is going to be amazing, im thinking of it as our homecoming gig :)
We're on at the same time as Queens Of The Stone Age though which kinda sucks, but at least we'll get to see RATM again.

As soon as thats done we support NINE INCH NAILS for a couple of dates (in huge stadiums!) and then we go on our own headline tour across america (including some down south dates which should be fun!) After that we fly straight to Australia where we do the Parklife Festival tour with Peaches and Dizzie Rascall to name a couple of acts... should be AMAZING..

Anyway this blog is getting longer than i thought it would be and i need to get my washing sorted before i leave my house and wont be back till november..

SO SEE YOU ALL AT A VENUE NEAR YOU SOON, and we'll try and keep you posted on here with photos etc

I just came home from the Melt! Festival 3 hours ago, you guys were simply amazing and definitely my festival highlight. It was really unexpected how the crowd reacted and I was also astonished about the circle of death or the sitting stuff but as I was in the front center I just went along with whatever happened, no idea where that all came from :)

I hope you are going to play a gig in Vienna anytime soon! Enjoy the US and supporting NIN.
